During the previous reporting period 8 out of the 14 Mineral leases that form part of the Maranboy Mineral Leases were declared Heritage Areas by the Northern Territory Heritage Register, preventing some field access. This is an ongoing problem. Outback Metals is working hard to revoke the heritage declaration over the Maranboy Mineral Leases to allow field work to resume on all mineral leases. Work undertaken during this reporting period includes time spent in June by CEO Aaron Steinert and senior Geologist Bill Fraser on MLN 1138 and the adjoining MLNs. Field work included: GPS location of old drill holes and workings to assist in the geo-referencing of old plans including the work done by Denehurst in the 1990s; and sampling and assaying of old drill core and mullock material. It was surprising to discover that Denehurst had left a substantial amount of diamond drill core on site and some of this was still laid out in core trays. Some of these preliminary samples have reported anomalous silver values apparently in chlorite altered wall rocks of the tin bearing lodes and further sampling is planned for later in 2011. Preliminary geo-referencing of the old plans has revealed some discrepancies and further GPS surveys are needed to check these as well as re-locating the actual lease boundaries in the field. This work is planned for later in 2011.en_US
