Abstract: | EL 10316 forms part of the greater Reward Project area owned by Rox Resources that has now been joint-ventured to Teck Australia Pty Ltd. EL 10316 is prospective for SEDEX (sediment-hosted) style zinc-lead mineralisation and hosts the Myrtle Prospect, where significant SEDEX style zinc-lead mineralisation defines a resource of 43.6 million tonnes grading 4.09% Zn and 0.95% Pb. Exploration activities for this license year were significantly impacted by the following factors: finalisation of a farm-in and Joint Venture agreement between Rox Resoruces and Teck Australia; a record 2010/2011 wet season; and delays conducting a heritage clearance survey. During the reporting period, 2 drill holes (My4 and My5) were re-sampled at the NTGS core facility, the construction of a 3D geological model was commenced, and an IP survey commenced 3 days before the end of the period. |
