Abstract: EL 31211 'Newlands Creek' is considered prospective for granite/pegmatite related styles of mineralisation including tungsten and hardrock lithium deposits. Reconnaissance rockchip sampling in 2016 at the historical Juggler prospect confirmed the presence of significant tungsten mineralisation with results to 1.41% WO3 recorded in samples of the mineralised vein. The outcropping Juggler vein trends northwest, is up to 1m wide, and persists for over 50m before disappearing beneath colluvial cover to the southeast and soil cover to the northwest. Anomalous tantalum (to 54ppm), niobium (to 100ppm), bismuth (to 262ppm) and molybdenum (to 2340ppm) are also present at Juggler. A 2016 trial Field Portable X-Ray Fluorescence (FPXRF) soil geochemical survey in the Juggler area confirmed metal anomalism and the technique has potential as an exploration tool in the area. No anomalous lithium was identified. No lithium is present in the rock chip samples, however significant tungsten mineralisation occurs in an outcropping shear hosted quartz-tourmaline-tungsten-tantalum vein at the Juggler prospect. EL 31211 was surrendered on 31 July 2018.
