In 2016 CKA Resources relinquished all its tenements except 10 blocks of EL 27526. Exploration on EL 27526 included the extension of CKAF001 which was previously drilled to 441m. The hole was drilled to a final depth of 813.1m (372m NQ) intersecting basement rocks much deeper than expected at 694.5m. As part of CKA's diamond exploration strategy, diamond specialist John Towie was flown to Alice Springs to inspect holes CKAD01 and CKAF01. He noted that the breccias seen in CKAD001 at the basement/sediment contact were related to a kimberlite event and that CKAD001 is near the termination of the injection which can be up to 300m from a diatreme or hypabyssal kimberlite. 12 samples have been submitted for further diamond indicator mineral testing and 26 samples have been submitted for multi element analysis to test for any other commodity potential. Recommended exploration includes low altitude, high detailed magnetics or ground magnetics within a 600m radius of CKAD001 to provide drill targets for the following year also development of shallow RC drill target, CKA017 is recommended.en_US
