EL 26525 Roper HM Project Second annual report for the period 23 July 2009 to 22 July 2010

Abstract

EL 26525 was granted on 23 July 2008 to Exploration & Resource Development Pty Limited (ERD), a Darwin based resource sector company for a period of six years. Exploration & Resource Development Pty Limited changed its name to Australian Ilmenite Resources Pty Limited (AIR) with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) on 5 February 2009 with your Department subsequently notified. The license area of 500 sub-blocks was originally applied for to further define known heavy mineral deposits and to target identified Uranium and Fe anomalies and to complete the assessment of the diamond prospectivity of the area. This report details all exploration activity carried out over the tenement. Diamond exploration included an assessment of previous efforts by various companies against the Departmental diamond database and past open file reports. Uranium/Fe exploration has included large scale mapping and interpolation of existing datasets to further identify anomalies and CID/Kanga style deposits within the lease area as well as investigations into past reports vailable within the Departments open file reports.
