The Mount Skinner Project area comprises Exploration Licences (ELs) 25366, 25367, 25574, 25573, 26025, 25993, 26543, 26719 and 26748, and is located approximately 200km north of Alice Springs. This report details all work undertaken during the reporting period 1 February 2009 to 31 January 2010. Uramet Minerals Limited (Uramet) identified the potential for a calcrete-hosted uranium occurrence within the Wilora palaeochannel, and alaskite hosted uranium at Adnera. Potential for stratiform copper mineralisation and sandstone-hosted lead mineralisation in the Mount Skinner area has also been recognised (Dunster et al., 2007). There is also a known tungsten occurrence in the EL 26543. Work conducted on the Mount Skinner tenements during the reporting period includes reprocessing and interpretation of aeromagnetic data, soil and rock chip sampling, auger drilling, trenching, mineral identification using a scanning electron microscope, and data review and reporting. 50% relinquishments were made for tenements EL 25993, EL 25366 and EL 25367. EL 25610 was surrendered entirely. Work during the period included processing and interpretation of ground gravity, and government aeromagnetic data, field reconnaissance, rock chip sampling, auger drilling, and shallow trenching. Significant tungsten values have been obtained from relict ore samples from Millionaires Well. It is planned to further test this area with a series of costeans. Anomalous uranium values up to 54 ppm U (Niton) have been obtained from auger drilling in proximity to an outcropping alaskite. Highly anomalous (laboratory) uranium values of up to 540 ppm U have been obtained from rock chip sampling of the alaskite. Further work is warranted.en_US
