Annual report EL 24281 and EL 25230 Charley Creek 7 February 2008 to 6 February 2009

Abstract

The Charley Creek Project area (ELs 24281 & 25230) is located 120kms west northwest of Alice Springs south of the Tanami Road and centred about 32kms south-west of Milton Park Homestead. The project area is held by Crossland Nickel Pty Ltd and is considered prospective for copper, nickel, platinum and uranium. EL 24281 was granted on 7 February 2005 and EL 25230 was granted on 9 November 2006. Previous work on Charley Creek Project has consisted of: A literature search of previous exploration over the ELs and surrounding areas; Data compilation; Acquisition and interpretation of NTGS geological and airborne geophysical data sets; A search of the sacred sites register; Field reconnaissance during June 2006; Helicopter reconnaissance over the tenement and assessment for uranium and nickel prospectivity during August 2006; Negotiation of an Access Agreement with the Central Land Council for ongoing exploration of the this and neighbouring lease; Planning and budgeting for next phase of exploration; and Airborne EM survey covering all of EL 24281 and just under half of EL 25230. Field work completed during the 2008-2009 reporting period included: Airborne radiometric and magnetic surveys of the project area; Ground based radiometric survey of four prospect areas identified from the airborne radiometric survey; Aircore drilling program consisting of 126 holes for a total of 4434.5 meters; and Rock chip sampling program targeting radiometric anomalies identified from the airborne radiometric survey.
