L 25430 (32.37 square kilometres) is part of Barfuss Corporation's Harts Range Project. The licence was granted on 14 March 2007. Underlying geology consists of high-grade metamorphic rocks of the early Proterozoic Arunta Block (Division 1, Strangways Metamorphic Complex), dominated in part by younger deformation forming the Gough Dam Schist Zone. Most field activity to date occurred in the first year of tenure, and consisted of detailed ground spectrometer surveying and rock-chip sampling of selected areas in the north of the licence. Several prospective areas were identified, with discontinuous trends, over several kilometres, of strong anomalism in thorium and rare earth elements. Uranium is also elevated to anomalous in some areas. Named prospects are 'Spinifex Gully', 'Pink Ridge', 'Quartz Flat', 'Raven' and 'Lime Hill'. The company also considers that the area under cover to the west of the 'Copper Queen' prospect may merit further investigation for possible copper-gold mineralisation in an area of possible large-scale tight folding and/or attenuation and shearing. ('Copper Queen' is outside EL 25430, to the east, and was investigated by Tanami Gold NL in 2001-2005. Reconnaissance drilling by Tanami Gold within what is now EL 25430 was at the 'Westend' prospect.) During the current reporting period, field work - and therefore numerical results (sampling, drilling, surveying) - has been largely prevented due to a protracted legal dispute with the companys principal financial backer resulting in all funds earmarked for on-ground activity being 'frozen'. It is anticipated that his matter will be settled within the next several months.en_US
