Abstract

During the reporting period changes in the exploration focus was implemented to evaluate the numerous gold prospects within the tenement area which were explored in the 1980-90s. This work involved a review of the gold exploration within historic company reports and associated data compilation; field reconnaissance and repeatability surface sampling (rock and soil) of prospect areas and, in addition, areas were selected based on structural and lithological zones, previously untested, focused on gold in quartz veins along fold hinges within F3 folds. The exploration results during the reporting period were successful in delineating areas containing gold previously undiscovered at the Croc Pate Prospect and in addition identifying elevated uranium in soils adjacent to the Possum West Prospect. Follow-up of targets with additional surface sampling and proposed drilling are planned for the coming dry season of 2014.
