Annual report exploration licence 25672 Roper Bar 1 for the period 12 September 2007 to 11 September 2008 year one

Abstract

Exploration Licence 25672 was granted to Geoffrey Orridge on 13 September 2007, and transferred to joint tenement holders Geoffrey Orridge, Gary Clarke & Michael Teelow on 16 June 2008. WDR Iron Ore P/L, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Desert Resources Ltd, entered into an option agreement with the tenement holders to acquire the EL on 8 July, 2008. Western Desert Resources Ltd is currently the operator of the tenement. The tenement covers ground prospective for iron ore. Exploration activities during the reporting period included aerial photography acquisition and rock chip sampling. Between April and July 2008 several traverses, with helicopter support, were conducted over the tenement area to gather samples at locations mimicking those collected in 1997 during previous exploration. Thirteen samples were taken in total. Most samples were taken from outcrop as rock chip samples however a couple of samples were scattered float or samples of transported, reworked and cemented material in creek beds.
