L 25569 butts up to the SA border centrally located between the Mann Fault to the south and the Woodroffe Thrust to the north a regionally extensive zone of thrusting of granulite facies rocks to their current cropping out position during the 560-535Ma Petermann Orogeny. EL 25569 is dominated by an extensively cropping out Musgravian 1190-1130Ma highly radiogenic Kultpitjata suite Granite where a series of elevated U2Th Ratio anomalies trend north east for about 30 km (over cropping/subcropping out Kultpitjata Granite) abruptly terminating at the intersection of or with a second equally anomalous U2Th Ratio albeit this time a north west trend? Field checking of cropping out granite 5-10 km west of Alpara returned scintillometer readings of about 200 cpm. No late stage uranium and/or thorium mineralised veining was observed. The above Ratio Anomalies appear to be structurally controlled unique to this area of the AYRES ROCK map sheet. Available NTGS AMAG/Radiometric, Landsat, DTM digital data was acquired imaged processed, modelled and interpreted in search of possible Giles Ultramafic geophysical expression analogues (inconjunction with above highly anomalous regional radiometrics). Unfortunately no prospective Giles Complex geophysical footprints were delineated nor were the above Ratio Anomalies deemed sufficiently prospective, consequently EL 25567 was surrendered.en_US
