Abstract: | The Plenty River Project (EL25937) consists of one granted exploration licence covering 461 km2 located about 350 km north-east of Alice Springs. The project area is 100% owned by Atom Energy Ltd. Work carried out consisted of a review of historic data and reports. Exploration models are currently being discussed to progress the project exploration further. Field reconnaissance was carried out by company representatives. There remain numerous historical reports that require critical appraisal prior to field work being undertaken. Once all preliminary investigations have been undertaken the intention is to undertake a broad reconnaissance survey of the tenement. An exploration model is proposed to be developed to enable further exploration activities to progress. It is anticipated a region airborne geophysical program will form a major part of future exploration activities. The region has potential to host palaeochannel uranium deposits and activities will be concentrated on developing this theory. |
