Mataranka Lime Claims exploration summary report MCN's 2548 to 2553 and 2574 1 January 1988 to 31 December 2008

Abstract

Northern Cement Ltd - Northern Cement Limited (hereinafter referred to as Northern Cement) operates a limestone crushing facility at Elsey Station, 30 kms from Mataranka Town. Mineral Claims N674, 675, 684, 685, 2548 to 2553 and 2574 are used for mining purposes only, and as such, no exploration work has been carried out on these claims during this period. All the tenements were purchased by Northern Cement Ltd from Blake Investments in March 1990 to supply limestone for the quicklime kilns at Mataranka. Geology of the area - All tenements are on the Eastern edge of the Daly basin and contain predominantly Tinall Limestone of middle Cambrian age.
