Annual report for MLS 154 Dead Bullock Soak for the year to 11 February 2008

Abstract

Mining operations undertaken by Newmont Tanami Pty Ltd on MLS 154, Dead Bullock Soak, for the calendar year to December 2007, produced 423,561 ounces of gold. Gold was treated at the mill facility in MLS8 The Granites. Ore milled from MLS154 during the year came from mining of the Callie underground resource (Callie UG ROM and Callie UG LG) and the stockpile from the Callie pit. Exploration drilling targets on MLS154 tested the Wilson, Auron, ASOK, Federation Anticline, Kerril South South and Cavalon systems for targets. Surface and underground drilling was undertaken. Surface exploration this year focused on Auron and Kerril South South projects with 12 diamond holes drilled into the Auron prospect and 11 diamond holes drilled into the Kerril South South project. The Wilson Project had 29 diamond holes (including daughter holes) being drilled over four sections (60150, 60950, 61150 & 61250). Mining activities on MLS154 were by underground transverse long hole open stoping of the Callie deposit. Over $10M was spent on MLS 154 in the past twelve months.
