dc.description.abstractMCC 968 is located approximately 400 kms NNE of Alice Springs and 100 km SE of Tennant Creek. The eastern part lies on the western edge of Kurundi Station, and the western part lies on freehold land of the Warumungu Aboriginal Land Trust. The mineral claim is a small area of 15 Ha that covers a contact between Warramunga Group volcanics and sediments to the West of the ridge and sheared and silicified feldspathic porphyry comprising the ridge. Preparatory to on ground disturbance work, an aboriginal heritage clearance survey was undertaken. A site at the Munadgee Mine was identified. A grid on the main ridge with lines 100m apart and holes every 50m was pegged and cleared. Two air core holes for a total of 47m were drilled in November, 2007 by Orbit Drilling Ltd. As part of the same drilling program as the AC holes, eight RC holes were drilled in late November and December, 2007 by Boyle Drilling for a total of 653m. A ground gamma radiometric survey was conducted in March, 2008. A total of 1.66 km was collected at a line spacing of 25m. A ground magnetic survey was conducted in May, 2008 and previously available aeromagnetic data was reprocessed. Niton assays were done on the RC samples in April, 2008. Petrographic samples were taken from drill chips. The official mapping of the mineral claim at another location meant that exploration work done within the reporting period was constrained by the Exploration Licence boundary. Limited mineralisation was encountered away from the mine area which lies outside the Exploration Licence. More work needs to be done in the area of the Munadgee Mine to ascertain the nature and extent of the mineralisation.en_US
