L 24250 was granted on 18 November 2004 for a period of 6 years. The operator for the exploration program under the Mining Management Act is Anthony Wright. EL 24250 is situated within the Pine Creek Geosyncline, a tight to isoclinally folded sequence of mainly politic and Lower Proterozoic with interlayed tuff units. All rocks in the area have been metamorphosed to low, and in some places medium grade, metamorphic assemblages. Sediments in the Early Proterozoic Burrell Creek Formation outcrop in the area. Those consist of interbedded mudstone and chert grading into massive albitic chert beds and BIF. Overlying the formation are siltstone, mudstone, pebble conglomerate and greywackle beds of the Burrell Creek Foundation. As shown on the Geology map, the Coronet Fault runs from the north west of EL 24250 to the south east at Coronet Hill, which has revealed steep bedding dips and frequent changes in the cleavage/bedding relationships, indicating tight to isoclinals folding. The Koolpinyah Foundation from the South Alligator Group along the fault line consists of chert, queart siltstone, dolomite minor carbonaceous pyrtic siltstone with chart lenses, bands and nodules. This area hosts two known mineral occurrences, one on the border of EL 24250 known as Coronet Hill. The Cullen granite to the south of EL 24250 indicates Biolite hornblende granite. It is within this area that there are three known mineral occurrences named Mt Davis 9, Mt Davis 11 and Mt Davis 12. On-ground exploration activities for year four were restricted to a RC drilling program on the area of the EL.en_US
