dc.description.abstract | Regional and prospect scale exploration was completed within the franchise agreement area. Work undertaken included vacuum, RAB, RC, and diamond drilling, gravity, magnetics, TEM, aeromagnetics, geological mapping, trenching, rock chip and lag sampling. The regional work within EL 1060 outlined 2 areas of anomalism-Saracen and Tornado. In addition the detailed work at Cashel and Largo has proved to be encouraging. The reconnaissance lag and rock chip sampling within EL 2372 has outlined 4 areas of anomalism. RAB drilling returned elevated values in areas associated with structural lineaments. Work at Old Pirate (EL 6859) emphasised the high grade, poddy nature of mineralisation. The RC drilling confirmed the presence of potential economic mineralisation at depth on an area some 100 x 40-80m. Mineralisation is associated with quartz veining contained within an envelope of arsenic anomalism. Diamond drilling encountered mineralisation at 100m verticle depth and highlighted the complex nature of the structure. Work at Twin Bonanza (EL 6859) was also encouraging. The RAB drilling indicated that there was some supergene enrichment. | en_US |
