Abstract: Exploration conducted on EL22186 during the reporting period included GIS data compilation, field investigation of uranium radiometric targets using a portable spectrometer, geological mapping, rock chip sampling, soil sampling, ground radiometric surveying, and a ground magnetic survey. Dominion attributed uranium anomalies to minor shears enhanced by supergene enrichment by granitic or pegmatitic derived fluids, and no further work was recommended for the area. However preliminary modelling of the data by HDN indicates that Dominion's drilling may be oblique to uranium bearing structures. The rock chip results suggest that mineralisation is hosted by structures (difficult to sample from float), not by a particular lithology, and that the uranium minerals (torbernite) are likely to be concentrated on fault or fracture surfaces. As chert is a more competent rock than schist (and thus more likely to sustain brittle fracture), it is suggested that the chert units be targeted in future work. The radiometric results to date suggest the presence of a conjugate fracture set (in N-S and NE-SW directions). The ground magnetometer survey indicated the presence of several NE trending faults underlying the soil cover. A small RC drilling program (1,000m) should test these structures by drilling towards (Liberator) grid east.
