Title: | EL 24535 Hamilton Creek 1st annual report year ending 5 October 2007 |
Title Holder / Company: | Imperial Granite and Minerals |
Report id: | CR2007-0843 |
Tenure: | EL24535 |
Year: | 2008 |
Author: | Benger, JW |
Abstract: | Work carried out during 2006-7 consisted of a broad reconnaissance of most of the EL area with 11 rock chip samples being taken. Elevated iron results came from a narrow (max. 1 metre wide) discontinuous vein with no apparent potential. Other assay results were all of a low order. Mafic rock samples (HC3, HC5, HC6, HC7, HC8, HC9, HC10, HC11 and HC12) contained only normal background results for nickel, copper, etc. One high order magnetic anomaly (sample taken several years previously by the EL holder before the grant of the title) proved to be barren of any elevated mineral content. A large part of the EL is quite accessible by station track and open cross country. Further exploration would be best to concentrate on stream sediment and soil sampling in an attempt to define drill targets. Large areas of the EL are covered by soils. |
