Annual report year 5 exploration licence 10189 23 July 2006 to 22 July 2007

Abstract

Work completed during the current reporting period included SEM probing of collected chromites to obtain mineral chemistry to assist interpretation of the origin of the chromites. The mineral chemistry of one chromite collected in a loam sample over an airborne magnetic anomaly and of four chromites recovered in adjacent drainages show a mantle trend that provides encouragement for additional work. Loam sampling over this anomaly has also recovered seven microdiamonds. In addition an assessment was initiated in relation to the potential of the licence to host uranium mineralization. The outcome of the assessment is awaited and will be reported in the next annual report.
