No activity associated with mineral extraction or exploration has occurred during the past year. Small scale clearing occurred (under one hectare) near Central Hill. This resulted in several small trees and shrubs being removed. Minimal topsoil damage or erosion problems are evident thus far. EcOz-VDM Environmental Services visited the Mt Tymn mineral claims to assess the site in order to prepare a Mining Management Plan and this annual report for Montfall Pty Ltd. No disturbance occurred during this visit. Approximately $450,000 worth of heavy machinery and plant related equipment were stolen from Mt Tymn in August 2007. All has been reported to the mining police and insurance claims are currently underway. Wild fires burnt through several of the mineral claims during the past year. Vegetation has recovered and firebreaks along the fence lines are of good quality. There are minor erosion gullies associated with roads and disturbed areas that will be managed once mine site construction and activity commences after approval in 2008. Only one weed, Mimosa pigra, was discovered within the mineral claims and does not pose a significant chance of spread throughout the area. Mimosa pigra, which is a declared weed in the NT, is concentrated around the ponds on the southern extent of the mineral claims. This weed will be managed and eradicated once mine site construction and activity commences after approval in 2008. It is currently proposed that Gold extraction at Mt Tymn will commence between February and May 2008. These tenements are still under an 'Option' to Mr Mitsuo Ueda. The projections & statements within this report are made by Mr Ueda and associates in compliance with the Mines Department reporting obligations. We are aware that this requires the appropriate reporting and applications to be submitted and granted before operations commence. Preparation of these documents is currently in progress.en_US
