During the 2016 prospecting season we engaged the prospecting services of Neville Manhire of NT Gold Pty Ltd and Wladimir (Wally) Falko. An all-terrain buggy was used to re-establish the track leading to the laterite outcrop and the entire area of interest was inspected by buggy and on foot by Neville and Wally. Extensive historic diggings with latter day bulldozer costeens leading into the NE corner of ML(A) 30125 were inspected and detected heavily with no result. The nature of the pot-holing at the head of the diggings which are just within the mineral lease application suggested that there may have been a rich shoot very close by but the negative results tended to indicate that the source has long been eroded away. Wally Falko detected the laterite outcrop and immediate surrounds thoroughly with no success. We opened up the aforementioned cave on the SW corner of the laterite outcrop by hand and found that the cavity was of limited depth and gave way to a vertical crack in the laterite that persisted from the surface to the depth of our small excavation. A small vertical sample trench was dug from the floor of the cavity to approximately a metre below and the rock chips were bagged and tagged for assay. Five more chip samples were taken from across the top of the laterite outcrop and floaters on the Southern end. These samples were submitted to N.A.L. in Pine Creek on the 22nd of July, 2016 for fire assay.en_US
