| Abstract: | GCR entered into an option agreement with Finching Pty Ltd over five granted EL'S 24401,24402, 24664, 24700 & 24778. The tenements cover an area of 4,900 sq km2 in the northern part of the Batten Fault Zone, a major zone of crustal deformation trending NNW and bisecting the Proterozoic age McArthur River Basin. The tenements are prospective for diamonds, manganese, lead-zinc and uranium. Work carried out by Golden Cross Operations Pty Ltd (GCO) between 2nd July 2005 and 2nd July 2006 targeted diamond and uranium. The exploration work included: geological and metallogenic data review, geophysical data review, photogeological interpretation and reconnasance mapping and sampling. |
