Third annual report for EL 23459 April 2006

Abstract

Exploration on EL 23459 consisted of reconnaissance mapping and ground em surveys using the two coil e34 instrument. The em survey covered a strike length of 6 km with lines every 200 metres. Readings were taken in the vertical mode to locate shallow manganese mineralisation and in the horizontal mode ostensibly for deeper mineralisation. Other readings were also taken into account which can indicate manganese mineralisation include the edge affect which consists of an adjacent low and high reading and the also the arithmetic difference between vertical and horizontal readings. Three areas of interest were outlined by the survey based on the criteria of moderately to strongly anomalous vertical and horizontal readings together with moderately to strongly anomalous difference and edge effects.
