Title: Isotopic and bulk rock analyses from Philip 2, Hacking 1 and Elkedra 3, Georgina Basin, Northern Territory
Report id: CSR0356
Year: 2015
Corporate Author: Macquarie University. Dept. of Earth and Planetary Sciences
Drillhole/Well Name: Phillip 2;  Hacking 1;  ELK3
Abstract: Sampling and analyses were undertaken on legacy core retrieved from three wells in the Georgina Basin, NT. This report presents isotopic analyses of selected intervals of Hacking 1 and Elkedra 3 and select bulk rock analyses from Philip 2.
This study's aim was to investigate if carbon isotope excursions were basin-wide (or even global) events, or whether they were time-transgressive and related to the depositional environment. The project was specifically interested in the Precambrian-Cambrian transition, and these wells were identified as containing some early Cambrian stratigraphy.
