Abstract: The 1979 Cockatoo Ground Gravity Survey was conducted by Wongela Geophysical on behalf of Australian Aquitane Petroleum Pty Ltd within OP186 and EP126 (WA). The program consisted of 10 separate profiles for a total of 197km and 924 gravity stations within OP186. The station spacing varied from 150m on and close to the Precambrian outcrops, to 350m in the basin. The gravity data acquired from this survey along with data from previous gravity surveys were used for the comparison of previous studies along with the interpretation of geology of the subsurface structures within OP186.
