Abstract: | The 1970 Burt Range Seismic Survey was carried out by Geophyiscal Services International on behalf of Lennard Oil NL within OP168, 70km northeast of Kununurra. Around 20 seismic lines of Sixfold and twelvefold Common Depth Point Stack was recorded and processed. A total of 229.6km of sixfold and 6.2km of twelvefold seismic data was shot in this survey. The main objectives of this survey were to study broadly the entire sedimentary section of OP168 and to determine any structural leads to locate and outline drilling locations. The survey helped tighten up geologic knowledge of this area in conjunction with the Spirit Hill No. 1 well. The whole of the sedimentary section can be considered suitable as reservoirs, in particular the Ninbing Formation. |
