Title: | 1985 Etimgimbra Seismic Survey - Seismic Acquisition, Processing & Interpretation Report |
Title Holder / Company: | Adelaide Petroleum |
Report id: | PR1986-0035 |
Tenure: | EP1 |
Year: | 1986 |
Corporate Author: | Norpac International Seismograph Service ECL Australia |
Abstract: | A section of highly prospective Jurassic and Triassic sediments exists in the McDills area which had not previously been defined on the seismic data. There exists a separate and structurally higher closure on the McDills trend 18 km south of the McDills No. 1 closure. A number of other subtle roll-overs and leads in the more basinal parts of the block are worthy of future exploratory seismic work. A stratigraphic potential for traps also exists. The seismic survey was carried out by Norpac International on behalf of Adelaide Petroleum. It consisted of 4 new seismic lines with a total of 209km of 24 fold seismic data recorded. This data was then sent to Seismograph Service Ltd for further processing. |
