EL 22488 Ooratippra Fourth annual report 3 December 2004 to 2 December 2005

Abstract

Exploration Licence 22488, Ooratippra, previously known as Quartpot, was granted to Giants Reef Exploration Pty Limited (Giants Reef) to explore for ironstone-related gold-copper deposits as well as large base metal deposits. Southwestern Mining Company Pty Limited (ACN 104 649 774) (Southwestern) purchased the tenement from Giants Reef on the 11th December 2003 and the transfer was approved under Section 173 of the Mining Act on the 2nd April 2004. Principal reason for the purchase was Southwestern's perception that the area was highly prospective for diamonds. This Report covers the exploration work carried out during the fourth year of tenure from the 3rd December 2004 to 2nd December 2005. Work done includes: research, photo interpretation, stream bed and rock-chip sampling, petrology, indicator mineral identification, and land-owner liaison.
