Talbot North Project EL 27806 Partial Surrender report for the period 14 July 2010 to 13 July 2016

Abstract

The target commodity on EL 27806 is gold. Work completed on the relinquished area included compilation and interpretation of historical exploration and open file government data, and development of a targeting strategy for the project. A field assessment was also made of the project. Field work comprised reconnaissance and rock-chip sampling over an area of interest defined from open-file data. Two rock-chip samples were collected. Renewal of the license at the end of the 6th year of tenure required the compulsory relinquishment of 6 sub-blocks. The central part of the license area, containing Dead Bullock Formation lithologies and associated NW structures, was considered more prospective and thus retained. Peripheral sub-blocks, comprising largely Killi-Killi Formation basement lithologies were relinquished.
