Roper Project EL 23046, EL 23047, EL 23048 and EL 23111, Group annual report for period 2 December 2002 to 1 December 2003

Abstract

Exploration activities included desktop studies, helicopter supported field reconnaissance, 875 m of shallow auger drilling, eight shallow pit excavations with pit wall channel samples and a bulk grab sample of oolitic ironstone. Drilling investigations in the north-east of EL 23111 has outlined potential for mineralised palaeochannels emanating from the Buka Prospect (EL 22478) to the north. Encouraging results have been obtained from the heavy minerals concentrations. Follow up investigation is recommended.
