EL 23183 Junction, First annual report, 8 October 2003 to 7 October 2004

Abstract

Exploration Licence 23183 Junction was applied for by Giants Reef Exploration Pty Ltd to search for Tennant Creek style ironstone-related gold-copper deposits. This report records the exploration work completed on EL 23183 during its first year of tenure, from 8th October 2002 to 7th October 2004. No on-ground exploration work was completed over the licence in the first tenure year. Giants Reef's commitments in establishing mining operations at Chariot, Edna Beryl, Cats Whiskers and Malbec West prevented further exploration over the Licence area. In August 2004, Giants Reef Exploration submitted a Mining Management Plan (MMP) for Exploration within the Northern Project area, which spans from White Devil in the west to the Whippet prospect in the east. This will initiate a new phase of exploration by Giants Reef within the Northern area of the Tennant Creek field. A number of prospects within the Licence area have been recommended for immediate drilling, under the Northern Project Area MMP. These prospects are held under overlying Mineral Claims and Leases, however exploration success at these prospects could possibly lead to mineralisation extensions within the underlying EL.
