This report documents exploration work conducted during the second year of tenure. Exploration for unconformity style uranium mineralisation consisted of outcrop sampling and reconnaissance work, with work focussed in the southeast of the tenement. 19 rock samples were collected and 10 points were mapped during the program. Work focussed on an area in the southeast of the tenement where one stream transported cobble of Gumarrirnbang Sandstone was collected in 2008 which assayed for 0.074 % U3O8. This area has been named Steptoe. In 2009, more than 1,000 m of anomalous uranium has been identified through outcrop sampling along the northwest trending Steptoe fault. The best results from outcrop sampling include: C010801 with 0.345 % U3O8 in weakly hematite altered Gumarrirnbang Sandstone, and C010830 returned 0.107 % U3O8 in moderately hematite altered Gumarrirnbang Sandstone close to the intersection of the Steptoe and Pidgeon faults. Anomalous uranium has been sampled along the Pidgeon fault. The results to date do not outline the surficial extent of the anomalous uranium and further work is proposed to determine the extent and structural relationship of the anomalous uranium. Exploration work proposed for the third year of tenure will consist of helicopter-supported outcrop sampling, reconnaissance and mapping, and an airborne electromagnetic (TEMPEST) survey over the Steptoe area. Regional sampling and reconnaissance work of other interpreted structural zones within the tenement will also be completed.en_US
