Abstract

EL's 7970 Alawa, 8819 Arnold River North, 8820 Arnold River and 8821 Arnold River 2 are four contiguous EL's located 150 km northeast of Daly Waters and 340 km from Katherine on the Hodgson Downs SD 53-14 1:250,000 map sheet, Northern Territory (Plan WAp45675). They are within the Alawa Aboriginal Land Trust and the Northern Territory Land Corporation freehold properties. The four EL's overlie the contact zone between the Proterozoic McArthur Basin, the Cambrian Georgina Basin and the Cretaceous Dunmarra Basin. Previous reconnaissance diamond exploration identified chromite and diamonds within surficial regoliths within the tenement block. No field-based exploration was carried out during the current reporting period by RTE. Divestment of the project area is currently being finalised.
