dc.description.abstract | EL 28854 Mt Johnstone straddles three parallel elements of the southeast trending Mt Johnstone Fault zone a major structural control on mineralisation in the region. The northern most element is a faulted contact with Anamarra orthogneiss a metamorphosed porphyroblastic radiogenic granite slightly younger (1770Ma) than Hillsoak Bore metasediment package (1780 -1790Ma) it intrudes. Aligned along the southeast trending faulted contact are several e Uranium anomalies requiring follow up. The Mt Johnstone retrograde schist zone, a parallel structure 2km south is deemed prospective for gold mineralisation particularly near several magnetic 'spot' highs slightly offset from the main structure. The area of extensive cropping out metamorphosed carbonate is prospective for Cu - Au skarn mineralisation similar to Queen of Sheba carbonate-hosted Cu workings located one km west of the licence areas western boundary. A first year program of regional reconnaissance plus interpretation of TMI Radiometrics, Gravity and Landsat datasets was undertaken. | en_US |
