Abstract: At the time of this final report the Amadeus project consisted of four (4) tenements (EL 27800, 27801, 27805 and 29467) covering an area of 631.4 km2. The project area was located ~125km south of Alice Springs along the Stuart Hwy. Although manganese was the main focus for USI NT, other commodities have been identified within the project area. In addition to several manganese occurrences, there is potential for Bauxite and Potash. Over the past 6 years USI NT have undertaken a significant amount of exploration with several highlights. In total USI NT have identified 12 new manganese occurrences, 1 new bauxite occurrence and 1 possible potash occurrence. These occurrences lay within USI NT's original area of the Amadeus project. The project area has been reduced considerably over the past years, along with one of USI NT's manganese occurrences (K-9). The remaining mineral occurrences within USI NT's project area consist of; Tardis (Mn/K), Dalek (Mn), Dalek West (Mn), Dalek East (Mn), Time Lord (Mn), The Doctor (Mn), Ivan (Mn), Ivan West (Mn), Ethan (Mn), Cameron (Mn), Strax (Mn), and Auton (Al). Throughout the past 6 years USI NT have undertaken the following activities to evaluate the Amadeus Project: Rock and soil sampling; Field mapping; Ground electromagnetic (EM) surveys; Induced polarisation (IP) Gradient array and Dipole-Dipole surveys; Ground gravity surveys; and RC Drilling. Only the Tardis project was successfully drilled and disappointing results were returned with respect to manganese, although 2 drill holes intercepted several metres of elevated potassium. One hole was drilled at Dalek but target depth was not reached and therefore the prospect is still considered open. A considerable amount work is recommended to fully evaluate the prospectivity of the region and specially the new mineral occurrences discovered by USI NT. Unfortunately due to the declining manganese price and difficulty in raising capital in the current market, USI NT have decided to relinquish their entire Amadeus project.
