EL 27342 Abner Project Final report for the period 25 November 2009 to 24 November 2015

Abstract

During the tenure with the Legend International Holdings (Legend), the EL 27342 has been part of the Abner Project. The licence was mainly explored for diamonds, however, base metal potential of the licence was also considered. Legend collected loam and stream samples for recovery of diamond indicator minerals. Some of the samples yielded anomalous chromites suggesting that the licence is prospective for kimberlite. Positive results, however, are sparsely distributed over a large area and there is no clear trend emerged thus for that point to the definitive source area. In the absence of any high priority exploration target, Legend decided to allow the licence to expire on 24 November 2015.
