Title: Partial annual and surrender report on EL 28156 Ross River
Title Holder / Company: Rum Jungle Resources
Report id: CR2015-0053
Tenure: EL28156
Year: 2015
Author: Dunster, J
Abstract: Rum Jungle Resources' EL 28156 is the last remaining EL in the Ross River Project which is primarily targeting the northern extension of a newly recognised putative IOCG terrain. Despite initial enthusiasm by other explorers in the region, no economic mineralisation has yet been found. In Year 1 of EL 28156, airborne geophysical data was acquired (magnetics, radiometrics and DTM). A helicopter was used in preference to fixed wing because of the rough terrain. The GDF-format data accompanies this report. In subsequent years, multiple surface sampling trips were undertaken by vehicle, helicopter and on foot. Some surface copper occurrences were noted. Handheld XRF was used as an initial reconnaissance exploration tool. These results are considered qualitative and have not been reported. During the life of the title, 51 surface samples were collected and analysed in the laboratory and the results in MRT format accompany this report. EL 28156 is on Loves Creek Station which is a pastoral lease owned by an Aboriginal Corporation. This necessitated dealing with the CLC and the impost of delays and extra expense. Only rehabilitation and monitoring as required by DME has been undertaken on EL 28156 since mid-2013. The notice of surrender was lodged with DME on 30/01/2015.
