Abstract: | No field work was undertaken during the reporting period. Due to the limited potential for Pb-Zn mineralisation, the data gathered to date for the area of EL 25931 was reassessed and reviewed for other possible targets. The most interesting geological feature noted in the 2010 field reconnaissance sampling was the haematitic - ferruginous fault breccia at the base of Limmen Sandstone bluff. This was thought to indicate some post intrusion delamination thrust faulting on the dolerite contact or it may be a result of the intrusion of the dolerite. A single sample of this fault breccia returned slightly elevated arsenic (80ppm) from a portable XRF reading. Also, a single XRF reading from the eastern end of the east west traverse in the north of the tenement returned elevated lead in the thin limestone in contact with dolerite. A sample collected from this site returned an assay value of 664 ppm lead. |
