Exploration activities completed during the reporting include two interpretations of the VTEM survey results. Ten anomalies were identified over the survey area, with one anomaly located within the boundary of EL27651. In early 2013 further interpretation of four of the VTEM anomalies (not located within Heritage Sites) was undertaken to help design a reconnaissance drilling program. Further modelling of the dip, plunge, depth and length of the four anomalies was completed. A site visit to inspect VTEM anomalies was conducted in 2012. Of the ten identified anomalies two were downgraded (anomalies BCrk_VC 3 and 4). Anomaly BCrk-VC 10 is completely covered by colluvium, but remains a high priority geophysical target. The VTEM anomalies sit in topographical recessive area's all targets are covered or partial covered in shallow scree and alluvium. The scree usually consists of sandstone and quartzite from the topographic high ridges formed by the sediments. An Authority Certificate application was completed over the tenement. This resulted in a number of areas being identified as Restricted Works Areas. The Restricted Works areas have led to Anomalies BCrk_VC-3, 6 and 7 being eliminated from future work and sections of BCrk_VC-1, 2 and 4 also being eliminated. Selections of rocks collected during the site visit were sent for thin section analysis. The XRD analysis identified pyrolusite as a fine grained matrix to quartz sand in a part silicified manganese oxide mineralised quartz sandstone. Pyrolusite was also present in a siliceous ferruginous limestone containing manganese oxides. It is assumed that any mineralisation which may occur beneath cover within BCrk-VC 10 will be of a similar nature to that which has been observed in the outcrop of other VTEM anomalies. An MMP has been submitted to the department (early 2013 and revised in August 2013) to carry out a small scale drilling program over the remaining VTEM anomalies. Further site work is required before a drill program is finalised however drilling is pencilled in for winter 2014. Results from site visits and XRF sampling show manganese at the surface within areas interpreted from the VTEM survey. As the anomaly identified within EL 27651 is under cover, a geochemical soil sampling program will be undertaken during the site visit planned for early (after wet season) which will aim to confirm the VTEM survey results. At the end of the reporting period the decision to reduce the area of the tenement was made. For the coming reporting period August 2013 - August 2014 the area of the tenement will be reduced to 129.5 km2 and a total of 56 blocks.en_US
