A review of all available public information on EL 25694 Central Mount, was completed. This work identified two radiometric anomalies coincident with granite outcrops, within which there were mapped pegmatite veins. A third anomalous area appeared to correspond with a drainage channel and was considered a potential site for a calcrete uranium deposit similar to Yeeleerie in Western Australia. The areas were visited and walked with an Exploranium GR135 PLUS gamma ray spectrometer, and sampled for analysis by ICP-MS. The first area visited revealed extensive outcrop of a hot plagioclase granite showing flow textures. Though there were only modest uranium assays of samples from this area (up to 23.3ppm) there were high thorium assays, up to 110ppm. On the eastern side of the tenement, another hot granite was found to have elevated uranium assays, up to 50ppm. Near the western boundary of the tenement, an outcrop of schist with an altered vein gave uranium assays of 14ppm and 21ppm. Nearby, an ironstone outcrop was found with very elevated uranium (61 - 85ppm) and a large area of radiometrically-active scree assayed 80ppm in a grab sample. This ironstone outcrop was a linear feature averaging two metres wide and nearly fifty metres long.en_US
