Abstract

17 shallow RAB were drilled at the NW of the orebody, with 10 holes intersecting 3% Pb, but other elements were not significantly anomalous. Infill drilling for ore delineation was completed by drilling 63 RC holes. Samples were sent to various laboratories for different extraction leach processes with the pressure oxidation tests showing the better recoveries. An ore reserve calculation completed in 1997 indicated the following: 0.9%Cu and 0.06 Co cutoff has 8 million tonnes resource 2.3% Pb, 1.5% Cu, 0.16% Co, 0.123% Ni, 8.6g/t Ag. 0.5% Cu and 0.06 Co cutoff has 14.4 million tonnes resource, 2.3% Pb, 1.2% Cu, 0.14% Co, 0.114% Ni, 8.3g/t Ag. <0.05% Cu and 0.06 Co cutoff has 35 million tonnes resources at 4.2% Pb, 0.06% Cu, 0.03% Co, 0.106% Ni, 8.8g/t Ag.
