Abstract: | EL 8172 forms part of Acacia's 'Ennis' tenements, which also includes MCNs 3996, 4203 and 4031 as they lie entirely within the EL. Work within the 'Ennis' tenements is currently carried out as a single programme, although the MCNs are reported on separately from the EL. Infill soil sampling was completed over the already established grid which partly covers the MCNs. 177 soil and 47 rock chip samples were collected from EL 8172. 21 soil samples and 48 rock chip samples were collected from MCN 3996 and 2 rock chips from MCN 4203. Best results from infill soil sampling in the central part of the tenement include 2412ppb Au and 475ppb Au. These are associated with a NNW-trending quartz vein system containing minor old workings. The extension sampling at the Last Gasp prospect returned a peak assay of 1765ppb Au and 540ppb Au. Elevated rock chip values (11.65g-t Au, 6.26g-t Au) were obtained from MCN 3996 and an area north of MCN 3996. |
