Abstract

During the period of tenure activities on the licence were limited to assessment of historic exploration undertaken over the area and reassessment of available geological, geochemical and geophysical data to define specific geological and geophysical targets within the licence on which to undertake detailed assessment. Discussions on access permits to undertake field exploration and other public consultation on work proposals with Aboriginal land holders were undertaken. This licence covers freehold land and access agreements were obtained to enable ground surveys. Other work was limited to remote sensed studies and review of available historic data. While Prosperity's licence appears to have sites that require additional exploration assessment and has made significant effort in conducting research and defining field exploration targets in defining the geological potential only one of these has been tested. Due to financial restrictions related to the present downturn in the economy and difficulties in raising additional company funds for additional drilling the licence has been surrendered.
