Final report for MCC 950, MCC 951, MCC 952, MCC 953 Kurinelli

Abstract

Arafura's exploration program demonstrated the presence of narrow quartz vein-hosted gold mineralisation at depth in the Kurinelli project area. Unfortunately no economically significant gold mineralisation was encountered in the 2006 drilling program and a number of surface targets proved unsuccessful when drill tested. This was certainly the case for all four targets on MCC 950. The exploration drilling on MCC 950 proved to be very disappointing with a maximum composited two-metres assay of 0.03 ppm gold. The presence of exclusion zones over parts of MCCs 950-953 and the lack of significant gold discoveries at depth downgrades these leases and it is recommended that Arafura surrender them.
