dc.description.abstractExploration activities undertaken during the reporting period include RC and RAB drilling, stream sediment sampling, soil sampling, loam sampling, ground magnetic surveys, mineral chemistry analysis and mineral isotope analysis. Numerous chromites were recovered within the Ring Anomaly, the source of the ring is unknown, but data infers a volcanic pipe or pipes may be preset at this locality. This anomaly will be drill tested in the next reporting period. The Wanda represents a rather confined indicator mineral target and ground follow-up of this indicator mineral anomaly will be undertaken in the next season. The Chalcedon Hills the best diamond target and a high-resolution aerial magnetic - radiometric survey will be flown over the area. High-Cr chromites are consistently recovered from the area. AT Toko-Marqua large numbers of indicator chromites have been recovered an follow up work is planned. Big Bertha is considered to be a potentially large base metal target and geophysical survey together with surface sampling are planned. Field work during 2002 identified numerous surface occurrences of manganese. A significant prospectivity for base metals and manganese has been confirmed at the eastern Altjawarra Craton.en_US
