Abstract: Elkedra holds numerous tenements in the Georgina Basin to search for diamonds. During the year Elkedra changed its diamond exploration strategy from follow-up of discrete magnetic anomalies to identification of and follow-up sampling of shallowly buried palaeochannels in the Centra Craton area. The recognition and confirmation of buried drainage systems in the Central Craton target area is considered to be a major exploration break through in the search for primary diamondiferous kimberlite deposits on the Altjawarra Craton. Several targets for diamonds, manganese, and base metals have emerged from the company's second year of exploration.
