Abstract

Work included MIMDAS IP and TEM surveys, sampling of 33 costeans and drilling programs. Drilling was mostly focused on testing the Marshall-Reward and Bellbird zone at depth. Several holes also tested MIMDAS IP anomalies to the north of Reward, to the north and south of Bellbird, and in the Rockface area to the east of Bellbird. Better intersections include 42.5M at 1.77 percent Cu, 0.24 grams per tonne Au, 120 grams per tonne Ag, from 128.5m, 28m at 2.47 percent Cu, 0.59 grams per tonne Au, 25 grams per tonne Ag from 512m and 9.1m at 3.21 percent Cu, 0.24 grams per tonne Au and 17 grams per tonne Ag from 216.8m. The assay results from sampling costeans show numerous zones of highly anomalous copper, particularly in the Bellbird, Sykes and Reward North areas. One of these zones at the Sykes Lode showed a wide zone of 0.5 to 1 percent copper. No high-grade gold assays were obtained from the costeans. The highest assays of 0.38 grams per tonne Au was returned from the Bellbird workings. MIMDAS IP and MT are effective at detecting copper mineralisation at depth. Given that the area is highly resisitive, the IP probably detecting mineralisation to 500m. Drilling has shown that potential exists for reasonable thickness of high-grade copper mineralisation at depth. Follow-up drilling is required at Bellbird and Reward. The exact drill hole locations and depths will be dependant upon the results of the modeling of the downhole EM.
