EL 26524 Second Partial relinquishment report 23 July 2008 to 22 July 2014

Abstract

A review is completed here of the open file reports of previous explorers including ERD. Recent reconnaissance work by AIR in the northwest and central parts of the license including broadly spaced surficial lag samples taken from selected sites of mapped dolerite sills found only minor amounts of heavy minerals. These sills are of limited areal extent and overlain by minimal thicknesses of heavy mineral-bearing elluvial and colluvial material. This work is sufficient for AIR to recommend that portions of the central and northern part of the western block of EL 26524 comprising 64 sub-blocks and the entire eastern block comprising 45 sub-blocks be relinquished. AIR is confident that the areas being relinquished here do not contain an economic deposit of interest to the company
