dc.description.abstractWork during Year One of the licence involved stream sediment sampling, rock chip sampling and geological mapping of the licence. Bulk leach extractable gold (BLEG) and -40 mesh sediment samples were collected from all suitable streams, while reconnaissance rock chip samples were taken across the unit from suitable horizons. The anomalous gold values obtained in -40 mesh stream sediment samples collected during the first phase of exploration are the result of laboratory error; most probably contamination. Although stream sediment sampling conducted during Phase I of this programme failed to repeat the anomalously high Pb and Zn samples located by CRA whilst exploring EL 610, further sampling is required to follow-up this base metal anomaly.en_US
